Through the development of innovative solutions, we actively participate in research and development projects supported by funds from the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union. We prioritize projects that contribute to digital transformation, more efficient processes, and sustainable development.
The projects presented below were supported by:

Development of a system for optimizing the life cycle of solar power plants
In the OptiSolar project, we are developing a system to optimize the life cycle of solar power plants, from installation to recycling. The solution, which will enable the coordination, monitoring, and optimization of solar power plant life cycle processes, is based on the MightyFields platform. For the installation optimization phase, for example, we will develop genetic algorithms that will create an optimal schedule for solar power plant installation based on weather data, material delivery deadlines, team availability, etc. Similar approaches will be applied to other phases of the power plant’s life cycle.
Total project value: EUR 499,467.77
Total co-financing amount: EUR 299,680.63
Consortium partners: JB energija d.o.o., Klančar žerjavi d.o.o., and Comland d.o.o.
The project was selected for co-financing in the Public Tender “Incentives for Research and Development Projects NOO” (JR RRI NOO).
The investment is part of the measures of the Recovery and Resilience Plan and is funded by the European Union under the Recovery and Resilience Facility – NextGenerationEU.
Smart scheduling of field work is also better for the environment!
Mighty Scheduler is an interface for scheduling the work of field teams, suggesting the optimal distribution of field tasks to the manager. Based on individual locations, worker availability, their knowledge/skills, available equipment, etc., it will optimize travel costs, ensure an even workload for employees, and simultaneously reduce the carbon footprint.
The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
Did you know that Mighty Ben is a relative of Siri and Alexa?
Mighty Ben is a voice interface that we are connecting to the MightyFields solution as part of the MF Voice project. It will allow users to manage MightyFields via voice commands. This will enable field teams to operate the application hands-free, search databases, and fill out forms using natural language.
The investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
Digital transformation of the Elektro Ljubljana ecosystem to support the energy transition and enhance user experience
The purpose of the project is to digitally transform the Elektro Ljubljana ecosystem to support the energy transition and improve the user experience. By developing intelligent solutions and integrating advanced technologies, we will transform the business functions of development and maintenance of the electricity distribution network, thereby improving reliability and flexibility, and accelerating the adoption of renewable energy sources. The establishment of digital tools and their integration with services offered to customers will, on one hand, enable more efficient communication, and on the other, provide customers with the ability to participate more actively in the electric power ecosystem.
The project partnership consists of Elektro Ljubljana d.d., COMLAND d.o.o., INFORMATIKA d.o.o., and TROIA d.o.o.
The project duration is from April 2022 to March 2024.
The operation was selected for co-financing in the Public Tender “Digital Transformation of the Economy” (JR Digit NOO). The total cost of the operation is EUR 2,870,557.00; the co-financing amount is EUR 1,468,986.82.
The investment is co-financed by the European Union under the Recovery and Resilience Facility – NextGenerationEU
Digital transformation of Talum
The goal of the Aluminium 4.0 project is to carry out the digital transformation of Talum in cooperation with partners Inova IT and Comland. It involves establishing technological, organizational, human, process, and business capabilities to transform Talum into a leading “smart factory” in its industry, enabling it to learn faster, integrate more effectively into digital value chains, and respond agilely to global changes.
The project partnership consists of Talum d.d. Kidričevo, Comland d.o.o., and iNOVA it d.o.o.
The project implementation period is from May 1, 2022, to March 31, 2024.
The operation was selected for co-financing in the Public Tender “Digital Transformation of the Economy” (JR Digit NOO). The project value is €6,206,140, and the co-financing value is €2,195,540.
“Funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU”
