For BTS Group (UK), we developed a comprehensive information solution for managing vegetation around electricity transmission infrastructure, with an AI‑supported optimisation system for scheduling field teams at its core.
Start of use: 2025
Context: vegetation management around power grids, United Kingdom
Technology: AI optimisation, Other technologies
The AI model supports field task scheduling by taking into account geolocation, intervention urgency, team availability, and operational constraints. It enables consistent, repeatable, and data-driven work planning, which is essential for providing reliable support to electricity distribution companies.
The solution for BTS Group in the United Kingdom goes beyond scheduling optimisation. It provides comprehensive information support for vegetation management—MightyFields Vegetation Management—supporting fieldwork for inspections, interventions, and vegetation maintenance under power lines, and enabling efficient management of the entire process.
Impact:
IS KURIR is a comprehensive information solution to support decision-making regarding eligibility under the so-called “war laws”.
Year: from 1996
Client: Ministry of Defence
Users: professional staff in administrative units across Slovenia
It is used by professional staff in administrative units and at the competent ministry. The system enables the processing of applications, decision-making on rights, and payments of approved rights to beneficiaries. An important part of the system is data exchange with other state authorities.
The solution enables:
IS CSD is a comprehensive information solution designed to support decision-making regarding eligibility for social security and social protection entitlements.
Year: from 1996
Clients: Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities and Ministry of Solidarity-based Future
IS CSD is used by professional staff at social work centres and at relevant ministries and other authorities. The system supports the processing of applications, decision-making on entitlements, and payments of approved entitlements to beneficiaries.
The solution exchanges data with over 40 other information systems, is adapted to the organizational specificities of social work centers, and enables flexible procedure execution.
Effects
The Social Activation IS is a comprehensive information solution that supports the implementation of social activation measures for the long-term unemployed and socially excluded individuals.
Year use began: 2019
Client: Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities
Users: coordinators and providers of social activation measures, programme participants
The Social Activation IS enables unified, transparent, and coordinated delivery of social activation programmes and provides support to all stakeholders involved at the national level.
The system ensures transparent participant management, connectivity between the client, coordinators and providers of measures, and stable information support for programme delivery.
It is designed as a long-term solution that supports coordinated operation of institutions and enables upgrades and adaptation as social policy measures evolve.
The solution enables:
The 3D viewer – an information solution for the spatial and data-driven overview of high-voltage (HV) power infrastructure – is ELES’s first digital twin.
Client: ELES d.o.o.
Year: 2024 – 2026
ELES, the operator of the combined transmission and distribution power grid, is the guardian of the Slovenian power system. It is a key element of energy stability in Slovenia, while also being closely connected to the transmission networks of neighbouring countries and integrated into the European energy system.
ELES boasts one of the most technologically advanced networks, for which it plans advanced management and maintenance approaches. To this end, we are developing a 3D viewer, ELES’s first digital twin of high-voltage infrastructure.
It is designed to support asset management, projects, and maintenance processes, as it provides users with a unified 3D insight into the infrastructure and related technical, spatial, and operational data in one place.
It is conceived as a long-term platform for the development of advanced management and maintenance approaches. It is connected to the client’s existing information systems and enables the following:
The solution enables multi-level viewing of facilities and devices, linking 3D visualisation with data from backend information systems, and access to associated technical documentation, which significantly simplifies the work of expert services and improves the transparency of the network’s status.
For ELES, we are developing a comprehensive IT solution to support the field maintenance of the electricity transmission network.
Client: ELES d.o.o.
Year of implementation: 2008
The PSA solution supports key field work procedures, including the planning, execution, and monitoring of maintenance activities, as well as ensuring occupational safety. It is tailored to the specific processes of the transmission system operator and supports work on high-voltage lines and transformer stations.
PSA is integrated with the IBM Maximo EAM system and the ESRI ArcGIS Server spatial system, enabling the integration of technical, spatial, and operational data into a unified work environment.
